A new look for the Australian

Chronic Disease Prevention Alliance

19 July 2023

The Australian Chronic Disease Prevention Alliance (ACDPA) has a new look!

With our shared vision for a healthier Australia, and alliance to work together to help achieve that, ACDPA’s fresh visual identity is vibrant, optimistic, modern, inclusive and reflects our joined-up approach to improving health.

ACDPA’s new icon is inspired by the flourish of a lotus flower – a widely regarded symbol of health, wellbeing, harmony, and resilience.

Our new logo design and colours complement those of ACDPA’s members: Kidney Health Australia, National Heart Foundation, National Stroke Foundation, Diabetes Australia, Cancer Council Australia, and Lung Foundation.

The need to coordinate and act together to improve the health of Australians through prevention has never been stronger.

  • One in two Australians live with at least one chronic condition.

  • Chronic conditions are the leading cause of illness and early death in Australia.

  • Up to 40% of chronic disease burden can be prevented.

With links and synergies across chronic disease risk factors, health determinants, and challenges to people understanding disease risks and detecting and effectively managing disease early, working together is a key to our shared impact.

ACDPA’s unified approach to preventing chronic disease burden has more than 20 years of history. Our new look reflects our continuing focus and commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of Australians – together.
